A member of the Research and Investment committees, Moustapha’s work helps James better analyze opportunity and risk levels of the general market, guiding asset and sector allocations as well as researching equity and bond securities.
Moustapha focuses on examining the macroeconomic picture impacting equity and bond markets. Within the research area, Moustapha helps create new market indicators to guide asset allocation and analyze various sectors and industries to find securities that will help our client portfolios perform well.
He is especially well-versed in the energy sector, which can present unique risks and rewards. Moustapha’s distinctive experience and depth of knowledge of the volatile energy market are beneficial when examining which factors potentially move oil prices and how industries in the sector are impacted.
As a Portfolio Manager, Moustapha thrives on the challenges of helping clients meet their investment objectives through prudent and diversified portfolio management. Prior to joining James, Moustapha completed his MBA in Finance at Wright State University. Before his MBA, he worked as a Petroleum Engineer at Schlumberger in various oil and gas offshore platforms in Norway, as well as projects in UAE, Venezuela and France.
Furthermore, Moustapha holds an M.S. in Mineral and Energy Economics from the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) and a M.S. in Petroleum Economics and Management from IFP School in Paris, France. He holds a B.S. in Mining Engineering from CSM and speaks three languages fluently.
With his expertise in energy, basic materials, and international markets, Mr. Mounah is a valuable member of the James Investment team.

Away from the office:
Moustapha enjoys spending time with his wife and son. They live in Beavercreek. Moustapha enjoys watching European soccer leagues, especially the English premier league. In addition, he likes reading books and being active with his son with his swimming and soccer activities. His favorite hobbies include playing soccer, volleyball and reading history books.
